What About Your Music?

Peace Lutheran Church is a community with a special heart for praising God with music—it’s an essential part of all our worship services. Our services are liturgy-based—liturgy meaning work of the people”—and one of the primary ways we as God’s people respond to God’s call is through song.

We love the old traditional hymns. If you like newer music, you’ll find that here too. And because we believe that our mission is to break boundaries, we regularly choose worship songs from other cultures that bring new rhythms into our shared experience. We always focus on responding to God’s word to us, both as individuals and as a community.

Our musicians usually include a pianist and a couple of guitars, or some combination thereof. They are all volunteers dedicated to sharing their time and talents through worship.

When the interest is strong enough, we have a bell choir that uses our full set of bells and chimes.

Sometimes, a small group of musical women (our “Church Ladies”) will sing a special piece for us.

On occasion, our children’s Sunday School group will serenade us with their beautiful voices.

But our members are our primary choir. You are welcome to sing out, just hum along, or sit quietly and enjoy our joyful noise. But if you want to add a little harmony, we won’t complain!
